From the dream of a coffee craftsman from Trieste to a new reality: an international espresso
An inevitable passion in this Central European town with a 300-year tradition in the coffee business: way back in 1719, the port of Trieste was already the prime hub of trade in this “magic elixir”, as Dionisio used to call it. In this town, the scent of coffee wafts in the air, strong as the Bora, the typical north-easterly winds of Trieste. Until recently, the queues of people from far-off countries coming all the way to Trieste just to buy a couple of kilos of coffee, roasted in the typical Italian way, were endless. Dionisio devoted his entire life to these people, so they could taste something “unique”. As he was wont to say: “Coffee becomes espresso only when it is prepared to highest standards”. True to their deep-rooted traditional, craftsman-like origins, his two sons are carrying forward their father’s line, transforming his immense love for coffee into an exciting challenge: spreading espresso as a real icon of the Italian lifestyle.
